One of the best collections of short stories it has ever been my pleasure to read, with each new author bringing their own special touch to the land of Valdemar. My personal favourite is the tale of Inya, an elderly woman who is stunned when a companion turns up to Chose her. The story reminds the reader of the true qualities that Companions seek. Other tales include a love story and a fairy tale - heartwarmers of the perfect length for a spot of bedtime reading!
